Department Of Microbiology
Objectives & Mission:
- To design and update the curriculum, bearing in mind the relevance to regional and national requirements and expectations.
- To equip the students with the basic skills in microbiological techniques
- To impart quality education in the field of Microbiology, enabling our students to confidently face the job market.

Courses Offered:
The PG Dept of Microbiology was established in the year 1996-97. It offers 2 –year M.Sc in Microbiology
Course Highlights:
The Department carefully adopted new approaches in curriculum planning. The revised syllabus under CBCS incorporates the study of basic core papers along with specialized papers. Laboratory work is given equal importance. The students have to undertake a project work in the fourth semester.
Laboratory:
The Laboratory of the department is well equipped with multiple instruments for regular class work and many research facilities.
Students Club:
The students are motivated to participate in various competitions to bring out their talents.
